Life has jolted us all into a new way of thinking, doing and most importantly a new way of being. Where you find me now as a vegan dreadlocked burning candle women warrior with a calm state of mind is not where I was even five years ago. I have gone on the roller-coaster of trying to find myself more times than I would like to publicly admit and literally vomiting from the deep fast plunge roller-coaster life I was living. Seeking approval, recognition for hard work in all the wrong places left me completely empty and wanting like a child longing for its mother’s milk that dried up before it even uttered the words Mama.
However, it was not as if my life was not screaming at me to open my eyes to wake up to see the beautiful life I was intended to be living. I was just stuck in my own narrative of I need to achieve more, I need to make sure everything is in order. This narrative was not just for me it was also for my ex-husband, my two boys, my business ventures which all failed in some shape or form. I kept missing the beautiful moments being presented to me to dig deep, slow down, be myself and to stop running to some destination I had created in my head a long time ago.
I will share some of my rollercoaster vomiting moments…they are worth being shared as moments of wisdom as I like to call them. Or it may become your source of humor, it’s cool I know we all need a laugh…its therapeutic.
I was missing my true calling that is innately part of my being, not bought off a bookshelf, learned from the many hour of watching YouTube how to videos or taught at my university alma mater. This is my profound ability to listen, see visions clearly and my undeniable calmness. All this put together is my true calling. Don’t get me wrong, it does not mean I meditate the entire day and eat grass. I now tap into this way of being to create business ventures, to be a healer and to now be a present loving wife and mother.
I would like to share with you, moments, techniques and wisdom to help you move your life into a state of being. This is not a get quick fix program. It requires dedication to trust the process to allow life to unfold in its own unique way for you. We are all created as a single flame and not one flame in the world is the same.
So, I ask of you first, to take a moment right now to stop, pause and breath. No not just breath, take just one deep breathe feeling your lungs expand and slowly release it. Feels good? This is the first practice of awareness, well done. We will continue to build on this simple practice. You can repeat as much as you desire, remember you are your own flame, your own butterfly.
